Meet your new favorite seasonal cocktail. Bourbon, DaVinci Maple Syrup, lemon, and mint come together over crushed ice, garnished with a caramelized lemon slice. This smash is a refreshing blend of sweet, tart, and herbal notes, tapping into the demand for nostalgic, comfort-driven flavors with a modern twist.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups Crushed ice
2 oz Bourbon (preferably single barrel)
¾ oz. Fresh lemon juice
½ oz. DaVinci Gourmet Banana Bread Syrup
½ oz. DaVinci Gourmet Maple Syrup
2-3 sprigs Fresh mint
Torched lemon slice for garnish, optional
Directions
For Lemon Slice: Sprinkle maple or granulated sugar over the surface of the lemon slice. Using a butane torch, brûlée the sugar until it caramelizes, and the edges of the lemon are lightly charred. Set aside.
Add crushed ice to a double rocks glass and set aside.
Combine bourbon, lemon juice and syrups in a mixing glass half full of ice. Stir mixture with a bar spoon. Set aside.
Rub mint sprigs around edge of glass with crushed ice. Strain prepared drink into glass and top with mint sprigs and reserved lemon slice. Serve.
